Did I want to want to try this mainly for how incredibly handsome Antoni is? Yes! But, also because I loved his first cookbook。 The recipes are delicious and can be a little more challenging, if you aren't an avid cooker。 The ingredients may also be a bit harder to find if you do not live in a large city with many options。 Which could make it a bit pricey。 Overall, beautiful book and I loved the pictures of the recipes。Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for providing me with an eARC in exc Did I want to want to try this mainly for how incredibly handsome Antoni is? Eating healthy has never tasted so good or been so fast! Simple ingredients and no major time commitments but tons of flavor and the wow factor。

The cookbook has beautiful photography and all of the dishes look amazing。 Even reading the recipes, I was excited to try them out。 However, a lot of these feel above my skill level and I was a little intimidated to try them。 I still think that a lot of people would enjoy the recipes that are found inside。Thank you to NetGalley and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt for a free ARC in exchange for an honest review。

Antoni Porowski's Antoni: Let's Do Dinner is the first cookbook I'm reviewing。 I have to say that I think it's pretty neat。 The book contains many recipes that require lots of veggies, which is exactly what I needed at the moment。 The main focus of the book is "clean proteins and loads of vegetables。" Antoni Porowski and Mindy Fox definitely deliver on that promise。 I like that they include some essentials for the pantry, fridge, etc, I find myself surprised by that since most of the ones I have Antoni Porowski's Antoni: Let's Do Dinner is the first cookbook I'm reviewing。 I have to say that I think it's pretty neat。 The book contains many recipes that require lots of veggies, which is exactly what I needed at the moment。 The main focus of the book is "clean proteins and loads of vegetables。" Antoni Porowski and Mindy Fox definitely deliver on that promise。 I like that they include some essentials for the pantry, fridge, etc, I find myself surprised by that since most of the ones I have encountered in the past don't do that。 It was nice to see that over half of these recipes can be made with what I already have in the kitchen。 In terms of food photography, I would give it 5 stars。 The food looks very appetizing, and I have found myself wanting to try these recipes out。 There's symmetry and bright colors on almost every page。 It's perfect for visual learners too because it gives an idea of how the food is supposed to turn out。 Another aspect I enjoyed about Antoni's cookbook is that the instructions are easy to follow。 They're kept at simple 2-3 sentences per step, and it gets the job done。 The preludes to the recipes are also a fun read。 The audience is given the background of each dish, and it includes easier-to-find/more affordable substitutes。 I also appreciate the inclusion of canned goods, god knows how many I have in my pantry that I can finally find ideas for。Overall, great starter cookbook for someone with moderate experience in the kitchen。 Thanks to NetGalley and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt for the ARC! 。。。more

4 solid stars。 This is a cookbook for the days when you, and your stomach, are feeling a bit fancy。 Some of the ingredients may be a tad difficult to source (depending on where you live), but don’t let that necessarily put you off。 The eggs and “carb coma” chapters are home to so many recipes I cannot wait to try。Seeing how we eat with our eyes, the inclusion of so many gorgeous photographs of the recipes (along with Antoni and friends) give this cookbook that extra feeling of warmth。 Inspiring 4 solid stars。 This is a cookbook for the days when you, and your stomach, are feeling a bit fancy。 Some of the ingredients may be a tad difficult to source (depending on where you live), but don’t let that necessarily put you off。 The eggs and “carb coma” chapters are home to so many recipes I cannot wait to try。Seeing how we eat with our eyes, the inclusion of so many gorgeous photographs of the recipes (along with Antoni and friends) give this cookbook that extra feeling of warmth。 Inspiring so much that I’ll definitely be ordering a physical copy of this to keep amongst all my other cookbooks。I received a free copy of this title for review via Netgalley。 Many thanks to the publisher。 。。。more

Antoni always makes for a good time。 His recipes are approachable but challenging enough to make you feel like a proper chef。 I will say however that his cookbooks have a bit of a photo album feel。

Recipes are laid out nicely with little intros to each one。 Serving sizes are listed but not approximate cook times。 I don’t normally have very many of these ingredients as staples in my pantry, but wouldn’t mind planning out a few special meals and shopping especially for that。 I feel like much of this book is an intermediate to advanced cooking skill level。 If you’re a beginner, I think you could handle it, just prepare yourself beforehand and familiarize with the recipe。 Even a slow cooker meal includes cooking bacon and browning chicken before starting the slow cooker!Salmon and spinach rice bowl with green tea broth, coconut cauliflower Korma, and mashed potatoes with fries (aka my lockdown diet) were some of my top favs! You can tell a lot of thought and care went into each recipe and I, for one, am grateful。 Keep creating AP!!!! 。。。more

I adored Antoni's first cookbook - it's a kitchen staple for me。 Let's Do Dinner takes all the simplicity I loved about book one, and creates some of the most mouthwatering dishes yet。 This man has singlehandedly reinvigorated my love of cooking after a year of choosing quick, no-prep meals。 Antoni puts the fun in functional meal prep, with a little something for everyone。 I adored Antoni's first cookbook - it's a kitchen staple for me。 Let's Do Dinner takes all the simplicity I loved about book one, and creates some of the most mouthwatering dishes yet。 This man has singlehandedly reinvigorated my love of cooking after a year of choosing quick, no-prep meals。 Antoni puts the fun in functional meal prep, with a little something for everyone。 。。。more

I am a huge fan of the Queer Eye revival, so when I saw Antoni’s Let’s Do Dinner I knew I had to give it a try。 The book is very well-organized, and the pictures of the food jump right off the page。 It makes you want to cook! Thanks to NetGalley for providing an ARC!This cookbook is gorgeous。 I love cookbooks that include pictures for each recipe, and this one does not disappoint。 The section titles were in a font that was a little difficult to read, but with titles like "Carb Comas" for the pasta section, I could not be too upset。I am excited to try more recipes from this book, especially the many plant-based recipes。The few qualms I did have were the authors obsession with peas (I truly do not understand, but I am Thanks to NetGalley for providing an ARC!This cookbook is gorgeous。 I love cookbooks that include pictures for each recipe, and this one does not disappoint。 The section titles were in a font that was a little difficult to read, but with titles like "Carb Comas" for the pasta section, I could not be too upset。I am excited to try more recipes from this book, especially the many plant-based recipes。The few qualms I did have were the authors obsession with peas (I truly do not understand, but I am also allergic so that might just be it), the "pierogi" recipe (although he did include a disclaimer for how it is not truly a pierogi recipe), and the strange cultural appropriation in his Polish Banh Mi。 It sounds like a delicious recipe, and I will probably try it next, but why exactly did he call it a Banh Mi? I liked this cookbook, but there were a few things that I didn’t love。 I know the chef is famous and that’s bound to be a selling point for the book, but honestly, we don’t need that many pictures of him。 Besides that, these recipes have a lot of ingredients, and many are quite unique, so I don’t think this is a great cookbook for your day-to-day meals。 It’s better for when maybe you want to try something new, or you’re having some family and friends over for a meal and you want something specia I liked this cookbook, but there were a few things that I didn’t love。 I know the chef is famous and that’s bound to be a selling point for the book, but honestly, we don’t need that many pictures of him。 Besides that, these recipes have a lot of ingredients, and many are quite unique, so I don’t think this is a great cookbook for your day-to-day meals。 It’s better for when maybe you want to try something new, or you’re having some family and friends over for a meal and you want something special。 The instructions are clear, and I didn’t have any trouble following along as a tried a few recipes, but I would have liked some pictures illustrating the different steps, because that’s very useful when it comes to cooking something new。 Sandwiches & Cousins and Carb Comas were probably my favorite chapters。I received an eArc via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review。 。。。more

Antoni's second cookbook is just as beautiful as his first。 The book is broken into several different categories, one of which is devoted to eggs (YUM!)。 I'm in love with the Oozy Egg and Sausage Sandwich with Melty Cheese and Giardiniera (although I did have to make some adaptions since I can't have pork or gluten)。 The Lamb Burgers with Cilantro Chutney are also amazing! What a fun cookbook!! I’m going to start by saying the pictures in this book are amazing。 In this cook book it seems to have a little something for everyone which is amazing。 The recipes seem easy to follow and I do plan on trying a few。 The downside for me is the fact that some of the ingredients aren’t readily available to me。 Some of the recipes, although simple, aren’t really something I would turn to on just any day。 This wouldn’t be my go to cookbook but it definitely has a few gems。

It is safe to say that Antoni eats differently than I do。 His recipes just seem fancier than my typical meals。 I think this would be a great recipe book when you're in the mood to try something different or maybe impress someone, but it would not be an every night kind of cookbook for me。 It is not filled with recipes that would become regulars in my home。 I was a little surprised at the variety of recipes。 Some would make a great breakfast or lunch, so even though the book is titled "Let's Do D It is safe to say that Antoni eats differently than I do。 His recipes just seem fancier than my typical meals。 I think this would be a great recipe book when you're in the mood to try something different or maybe impress someone, but it would not be an every night kind of cookbook for me。 It is not filled with recipes that would become regulars in my home。 I was a little surprised at the variety of recipes。 Some would make a great breakfast or lunch, so even though the book is titled "Let's Do Dinner" you are offered recipes that could be enjoyed any time of day。 So, if you're more of a morning person and don't have time to make extravagant dinners, there may be a recipe included that you'd like to try in the morning。 There are several recipes in this book that look interesting and delicious, but unfortunately due to my personal dietary restrictions most of them are not recipes I will be able to eat。 So, it doesn't seem there is too much included that I will be rushing to try。 I am most looking forward to a quick and easy looking fish & asparagus meal。 Antoni offers 4 different butter toppings to go with it。 I think I'll go with the Lemon-Tarragon。。。 or maybe the Miso-Scallion。 I also think the Sheet Pan Chicken with Rosemary and Grapes looks interesting and I'll give that a try soon。 I've never cooked with grapes。 I've added them to a salad, but a sheet pan with chicken? Never thought of it。 I enjoyed this cookbook and Antoni's commentary throughout。 I like that he offered some suggestions for substitutes to make the recipes more flexible。 It's worth a look if you want a recipe to get you out of a dinner rut or you're just in the mood to try something different。 3。5★ #UntitledCookbook #NetGalleyThank you to NetGalley and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt for providing me with a complimentary electronic copy of this book。 Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own。 。。。more

This is a cookbook for Antoni fans。 I know who he is but I haven't watched his show, so this was not really for me。 However, it is a gorgeous book。 The food photography is beautiful。 If you love Antoni and his friends, there are lots (yeah, lots) of photos throughout the book。 There were a few recipes I would have preferred seeing a photo of, even if it meant fewer 2-page photo spreads。And now, the food。 There are some interesting takes on common recipes, but I don't know that everyone will find This is a cookbook for Antoni fans。 I know who he is but I haven't watched his show, so this was not really for me。 However, it is a gorgeous book。 The food photography is beautiful。 If you love Antoni and his friends, there are lots (yeah, lots) of photos throughout the book。 There were a few recipes I would have preferred seeing a photo of, even if it meant fewer 2-page photo spreads。And now, the food。 There are some interesting takes on common recipes, but I don't know that everyone will find something to love here。 I appreciate that, as a whole, the recipes use more common ingredients and are not overly complicated。 But a piece of puff pastry on top of a creamy vegetable filling does not make a pot pie。 That had me waiting for the pea guacamole or some such ridiculousness。 Thankfully, there were Polish mussels to save the day。 I've had something similar at a local restaurant and it's a good way to go, even if I won't be making it here in the Arizona desert。I have way too many cookbooks, so I was most of the way through this one before I found anything I would consider making。 The best section is the snacks and sides。 That's some good looking comfort food。 3。5 stars。Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for a digital review copy。 Publish date September 14, 2021。 。。。more
